Regular
meetings are held the 3rd Saturday of each month at 10:30
AM in the pilot's lounge at Moontown Airport. Occasionally we will meet
at a member's shop to look at his or her project or at a local business that is
of interest to homebuilders.
Fly-in breakfasts are held the 3rd Saturday of each month at
Moontown Airport. Food (eggs, biscuits, sausage, gravy, grits, pancakes, etc.)
is usually served from 7:30 to 9:30 AM. Ending time depends on the crowd.
Every Saturday from 11:30 am to 13:00, the Moontown Airport hosts a BBQ
at the FBO.
On the
3rd weekend in September we have our annual Moontown Grass Field
Fly-In, assisted by the North Alabama Ultralight Association, also based at
Moontown Airport. The fly-in has been expanded to a full two-day event with a
banquet and hangar party on Saturday night. Breakfast is usually served each
day. A biplane sells rides, and the Young Eagles program provides free rides
for children between the ages of 8 and 17.
If you would like to join Chapter 190, attend one of our events
and let us know you would like to join, or just download and print the application (.doc or .pdf) and send it
to our treasurer along with a check for $15.00 for annual dues.
