The Purposes of our Chapter are . . .

• To encourage and foster design and development of amature-built aircraft
• To provide information, knowledge, and assistance to the amateur aircraft builders, restorers of vintage aircraft, and sport aviation enthusiasts
• To foster and promote aviation safety
• To encourage, aid, and engage in scientific research to improve the understanding of aviation and the science of aeronautics.
• To provide a source of information and education for aviation related activities

The Passing of Jon Moore

It greatly saddens me to announce the passing of Jon Moore. For those of you that knew Jon, I

don't have to tell you how much he contributed to our Moontown Family and EAA 190. Jon had

struggled with cancer through the years and unfortunately slipped the surly bonds of earth December 28th.

A Memorial service will be held Saturday January 2nd at Berryhill Funeral Home. Jon was an avid builder

of airplanes and one of the most active members in our chapter, he had built a Mini Max and was in the process

of finishing a Long EZ. I know I speak for everyone at EAA 190 and Moontown when I say Jon will truly

be missed. I would ask you to please keep his family in your prayers during this tough time.
